Staying Home

It has been a full month since our host country closed their borders and enacted regulations to stop the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Just like the rest of the world, we are on lockdown.

Staying home is nothing new for the kids and I, we were used to being home a lot anyway.  Logistically it has always been easier for us to stay home during the week and homeschool, while Justin works in the ministry, traveling for meetings and trainings often. In fact Justin has been gone one week every month for the last year, so our kids are excited to have their Daddy home during this time. We do miss our friends, church, and going on outings as a family…but the worst part of the social distancing measures has been the halt to our ministry meetings and trainings. It’s frustrating to be on the mission field, yet not be able to do ministry. Nevertheless we take our cue from the national church leaders and they have advised us to follow the government regulations and just wait for things to get back to normal. Despite our eagerness to get back to “normal”, we are praying for all those around the world who are directly impacted by COVID-19, & asking God to teach us all during this crazy time.
We want to use our time wisely, so we are being intentional about using this time to; improve our French, to exercise more, to study the Bible more, and spend quality time together as a family.

No matter what your day to day looks like during this time, remember; God is in control.

God Bless,

Was great hearing from you guys. It is so funny how even though we are miles apart, our lives are similar! I still work daily and much more ministry opportunity now with people facing the unknown. They are do full of anxiety and need all the hope God allows me to share!!
